Toilets seats are the new dread amongst women! Every 4 out of
ten women agree to the fact that they crouch over public toilets while
urinating where many of them paper the seat before use, and only a few sit down
on the seat. The reason is the dirty or apparently clean toilet seats, which
cause vulnerable infections and diseases to women such as syphilis and pubic
lice. Basically, the hard surface of the toilet seats may retain the bacteria
like norovirus or shigella for two or three days. If these are not cleaned from
time to time with effective anti-bacterial soaps and liquids, these are sure to
get picked up by the skin of buttocks or legs. Many a time, women are able to
note the visible microbes, but other times, they do not and easily fall prey to
urethritis, cystitis, and other urinary tract infections.
1. Keep
anti-septic wipes or paper towels handy: The best way to avoid contact with
germs and bacteria is to keep pocket-sized packets of medicated wipes in handy.
Before using the toilet seats, you can wipe off the germs and comfortably pee.
It is recommended that you wipe your private parts and buttocks with medicated
wipes or paper towels after use.
2. Use disposable female urination device: There are
various disposable female
urination devices available in the market, which allows the women to pee standing up. This prevents women to come in
direct contact with the germs as the women can pee in female urine funnel and
dispose of it after use. Such devices cut the chances of catching urinary infections
by almost 50% as women do not need to sit on dirtier public toilets. Moreover,
these female urine funnels are easy to carry on the go, which gives women more
convenience to pee when they do not have access to toilets.
3. Wear
loose cotton clothing and underwear: Wearing tight undergarments made up of
synthetic fabric is like welcoming the risks of infections and diseases. Where
tight underwear decreases the blood circulation, synthetic fabric, unlike
cotton, traps the yeast and bacterial infection. And, this attracts diseases
and infections. Therefore, one should wear underwear made up of cotton fabrics
that allow the pubic skin to breathe.
